This blog is a continuation of a Sims 3 forum story thread. I originally wanted to keep it for viewers under 18, but the latest post in the thread warranted just a little more. In the thread itself, I kept it rating-appropriate, but it lacked the proper feeling.
You may either start at the beginning by clicking the above link or just read this summary I'm about to write:
There are also more in-depth descriptions of key characters (as well as the chapters they feature in) on the other tabs.
This is a story about a woman who, when she was born, was named Elena Castillo. Unfortunately, her parents died of a rare form of the flu, and she was left orphaned. She was adopted by a couple with the last name Schwartz, who placed her in boarding schools for most of her childhood. About a year after she graduated high school, those Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz died in a car crash, leaving her orphaned once again.
After burying her parents and selling their house, she decides to move and give herself a fresh start where no one knows her, and she knows no one.
I use the Champs Les Sims neighborhood that Stw402 adapted/created and it can be found here.
Upon arriving in town, Elena goes to the nectary and meets Greg Turner. There's an instant connection between the two, but real life gets in the way and they don't see each other for a while. When she sees him again, she discovers that he's had to marry an ex, Betty, because she's pregnant with his child. When Greg sees Elena again, he realizes he's made a mistake and divorces Betty as quickly as he can.
Elena also adopts a child (due to a crazy school bus thing that I tried in vain to fix) named Marie. Marie's childhood is spent at a sports academy boarding school, but her teen years are later spent at home.
Greg's child by Betty is a boy named Demarco.
While Greg works on his divorce, Elena meets John Parren. The two of them also really hit it off. John, however, isn't married and merely breaks up with his current girlfriend. His and Ivanna's relationship wasn't going great anyway.
One night, while John is working, Elena goes to a party and chats with a co-worker from the hospital, Dr. Tate Williams. He ends up coming home with her, drugs her, and rapes her. Shocked and terrified, she tells John, who is also a police officer. John doesn't believe her. He thinks she's cheated on him.
After John checks up to see whether or not she told him the truth, he is devastated that he didn't believe her when he should have, and vowed to make it up to her. The two of them get back together, move in together, and eventually get married.
Before the night of the wedding, however, Greg visits Elena. He's distraught that she is so quickly entering into a marriage with a man that he thinks has a horrible temper. Not to mention that Greg loves her and wants her for himself. She decides to go ahead and marry John, even though she suspects she still has feelings for Greg.
Her and John's marriage goes great, and they soon expect a son, Xavier.
By the time Xavier is a toddler, Greg is just about losing his mind because he just can't get over Elena. They meet at a campsite accidentally, and sit down to chat. It comes out that Elena still has feelings for Greg, though she doesn't want to explore to see what they are and how deep they go. The next day Greg begs her to come over to his house, and she eventually does. At his house, she finally admits that she still loves him, and now he's determined to win her back from John.
One fateful night, Greg comes over to John and Elena's house to beg Elena to leave him. John walks in on the two of them, and, after getting a phone call from his sister-in-law (who just happens to live next to Greg), discovers that the two of them had been seeing each other. John throws a fit and beats Greg up. Elena begs Greg to leave, hoping that will calm John down. John is calm for a little while, but unfortunately he doesn't stay that way and beats up Elena as well.
Elena runs away from the house, and moves in with Greg. She and John get a divorce, and then she and Greg get married. Elena and John agree to split custody of Marie and Xavier (John being the only father Marie ever knew, even though he has no biological or previous legal connection with her). Elena and Greg eventually have a son, Benjamin.
While Elena is pregnant with Benjamin, Greg cheats on her with an old high school flame, Sylvia. After Ben is born, Sylvia tries in vain to get Greg to leave Elena. Elena finds out about the affair, and is heart-stricken. After many fights, the two of them divorce. Greg doesn't want Ben.
During the marriage of Elena and Greg, John attends counseling to deal with past issues from his horrible mother. He becomes a new man, and suffers horrible guilt about what he did to Elena, a woman he still loves dearly. Before Elena finds out about Sylvia and Greg, John receives her forgiveness, and the two of them start again as friends. When John hears about her upcoming divorce from Greg, he's chomping at the bit to get back with her.
At this time, Elena decides that she just wants to be single for a while. She and Greg still have a bit of a relationship going, they're dating, but she just doesn't trust him anymore. She and John also start dating again, and the two men can't be in the same room together.
This is when Elena meets Lawrence Rock, aka Laurie. She first meets him as "On The Rocks" in a chatroom. He's just as surprised as she is that they met there first, but he figures it out long before he tells her.
One fateful day in the park, Elena happens upon Greg and Sylvia making out on a bench. Greg hadn't told her anything about him still seeing Sylvia. Elena flips out and ends it once-and-for-all with him, then beats up Sylvia. Greg tries in vain several times to get Elena to come back to him, but she won't.
"Laurie" is a very shady character indeed. In fact, Lawrence isn't even his real name. His real name is Trent White, and he's a drug lord. He's in Champs Les Sims to get revenge on what John and Elena did to his step-brother, Tate Williams. Dr. Williams was arrested while John and Elena were still married, and sent off to prison where the inmates dealt out their own "justice" that they save for rapists. They killed him, but Trent blames the man that arrested him and ruthlessly sought justice, John. In his quest for vengeance, he falls in love with Elena.
Greg catches Trent mourning at Tate's gravesite, and asks him why. In an argument, Trent reveals that Tate was his step-brother and he plans on getting revenge on John, and punishing Elena. Greg is furious, and beats Trent up. Trent, at the end of the fight however, pulls out a gun and shoots Greg, killing him.
Trent tries to get Elena to leave the house, but John suspects him so he begs for her not to.Trent's henchmen kidnap Xavier, and threaten to do horrible things to him if Elena doesn't come and trade herself for him. She does, and Trent abducts her to a hidden location.
John is fraught with worry over Elena's disappearance. Being the chief of police now, he's also incredibly insulted that all of this happened right under his nose and he can't prove it was "Laurie", though he watches him like a hawk.
A couple of officers happen upon the hidden location while looking for Elena, and one of them is shot (not fatally) in an effort to rescue her. Discovered, Trent moves back to Bridgeport with Elena in tow.
Elena doesn't spend much time at Bridgeport, but the time she does spend is both physically and very emotionally abusive from the way Trent treats her. At a "business party", John disguises himself as a pizza delivery guy and, with the help of the local law enforcement, rescues Elena. He winds up shooting Trent, who dies immediately. Not long after this, John and Elena get remarried.
John was NOT supposed to take part in the rescue mission for Elena since he was so emotionally involved, but he did anyway. Right now as I write this, John is in Bridgeport trying to find out if the one he suspects is a mole is indeed one. He's suspended, a punishment a little too harsh for what he's done. He suspects this mole is trying to get rid of him. He's also worried that this person could cause harm to others if he/she isn't found out.
While John is in Bridgeport, Elena is still having difficulty dealing with everything that has happened to her. She keeps seeing the ghosts of "Laurie" and Greg. In one recent such happening, she asks Jonah, John's youngest (and still somewhat spoiled) brother to come and just sit with her at work (the bar she and "Laurie" started together) so she doesn't feel afraid. Unfortunately, Jonah "comforts" Elena by passionately kissing her. Now she has yet another worry added to her long list. Jonah immediately realizes his mistake, and the two of them vow to never mention it again.
I've also started up telling more about Xavier and Marie (as in the first post of this blog). Xavier is now a teenager, and dedicated to painting. His best friend is a girl named Lee, who is quite a sculptor. The two of them are inseparable. Lee harbors a secret crush on Xavier (who turned out really cute, btw!). Xavier starts out clueless, but eventually picks up on her feelings. She makes it even more obvious when she spontaneously kisses him. Embarrassed and shy now, she tries to leave, but he stops her and kisses her alot more passionately than she expected.
Back when Marie attended boarding school, her friend Dawson missed her. When she came back as a teenager, he was happy she was back, but he also had to divide his time with her and his girlfriend, Cristina. Marie ends up dating his older brother, Andy (whom I have called Alex too many times by mistake), who is a senior and she a freshman. When Andy ages to adult, he feels he must break up with her, and she's hurt. The boys in town don't give her long to stay that way. In fact, no sooner had the door closed when Andy left the house when her phone rang. It was Armand, and he asked her to prom. Armand knew that Andy was about to break up with her because his (then) friend Dawson had told him. Dawson never forgave Armand for that betrayal. Armand knew that Dawson liked Marie, but Dawson didn't know Armand liked her as well. This ended their friendship. When they aged to adults, Cristina, Dawson's then girlfriend, moved away and they broke up. This caused Armand to panic because he knew that Dawson, who had occasionally flirted with Marie (though she never really caught on that that was what he was doing), would stop at nothing to be with her now. Angry, Armand and Marie got into a nasty fight, and he broke up with her. Dawson moved in for the kill. Realizing his mistake a little too late, Armand tries to get Marie back. Marie is curious to find out how she feels about Dawson, since this is all new to her and the words that Armand threw at her still sting. So, she's dating both men, and trying desperately not to be like her adopted mother, Elena. Oh! One other little problem that will show it's ugly head. On her date with Dawson, Andy all but says he still has feelings for Marie. Andy is struggling with himself in that he wants the same woman his brother does.... not to even mention Armand. Poor Marie.
