Jonah's history:
Jonah might be the least important character to deserve a tab of his own, but I still think he needs one all the same.
Jonah is the youngest of the Parren brothers. All three of them have different fathers, and Jonah's father was a serious party animal with commitment issues. While his father was still married to his mother, they had wild parties at their house that would last long into the night. So, Jonah grew up around an environment of drugs, alcohol and wild, free sex.
His older brothers tried their best to steer him away from that and ignore their parents. His oldest brother, John, stood as the solid rock for the three boys, but Jonah just viewed him as a boring stick-in-the-mud. He related better to the middle brother, Eric. Eric was always a little less responsible, but all the same he tried to follow John's example.
Jonah met Greg Turner in elementary school, and they became fast friends. Greg loved Jonah's wild nature, and Jonah loved how Greg would encourage it instead of try to subdue it. As they became teens, they would throw wild parties of their own at Greg's house.
When he was almost 17, Jonah's mother overdosed, killing her. He's never dealt with it to this day.
Instead of dealing with it, he and Greg only became bigger party animals. They could have wilder parties at Jonah's house since John was busy with his police training and Eric was a pushover. (It was during this time that Greg and John really started to dislike each other.) At these parties, Jonah and Greg honed their womanizing skills.
Years later, when Greg falls for Elena, Jonah can't understand how he could stand to be with just one woman. I mean, sure, he thought Elena was a sweet piece of ass, but, in his mind, no one woman could ever be enough. Still, he was tempted. However, when it turned out that his oldest brother was also interested in this new little filly in town, he backed off. He didn't want to go "off limits" both ways. (then anyway)
When John and Elena got married, he did his best to help Greg make the best of it, but he couldn't ever seem to get his friend back to the man he once was. Most nights he was on his own - until he met Eva, who was John and Elena's maid.
Eva was almost as wild as he was, yet they managed to be committed to each other. When Greg and Elena got married, he asked Eva to marry him. They stayed engaged for years, but never set a date. Eva eventually left him, angry that he didn't seem like he ever wanted to set a date.
Eva leaving him left a huge hole in his heart. Then, to make matters worse, Greg got murdered. Completely shaken and falling apart, John invited him into his home to help him get his life back in order.
Now Jonah has to decide what he's going to do with the rest of his life.... which he suddenly finds himself in the middle of. He's no spring chicken anymore, and that almost scares him. The younger people find him almost ridiculous.
He's met one girl, Kaiti, but he can't seem to get her to agree to a specific time to go out. She's always vague and dodges him. This used to mean that he would immediately write her off, but he can't stop thinking about her...
